Situated in a semi-rural location on the edge of the village of Polegate and within easy reach of neighbouring Pevensey (6miles) with its striking castle, now an English Heritage site, and the local village pub and shop, makes this a great location for couples wanting to explore the local area. Keen walkers and cyclists can enjoy exploring the nearby Cuckoo Trail or heading into the South Downs National Park where a multitude of footpaths cross the countryside. The beaches at either Pevensey Bay or Eastbourne are perfect for a spot of sailing, swimming or fishing, and the Sovereign Harbour Marina is a great place for a spot of lunch whilst admiring the boats moored up. The Towner, also in Eastbourne, is a stylish contemporary art gallery, which is not to be missed along with the impressive Herstmonceux Castle and the Observatory Centre both situated in the same grounds.

Step inside this charming cottage for two which is located on one level and leave you coats and boots in the hallway before entering the spacious lounge/dinning area. Relax on the comfy sofa or armchairs and enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. A dining table with seating for two offers the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or an evening of board games. The well-equipped kitchen offers everything you need for creating delicious meals and a breakfast bar with stools makes it a sociable space to chat whilst dinner is prepared. After a busy day, retreat to the king-size bedroom which enjoys views over the countryside, and the property is completed with a bathroom with WC.

The cottage is very well appointed, in a quiet location with a lovely outlook. Very accessible to the local village, and in a good central location for visiting historic towns, villages, and the coast. A very enjoyable holiday.

When we arrived there was no heating on & the cottage was very cold. We also found that none of the electric sockets were working. We reported this to JJ Cleaning Eastbourne & a team member came out & rectified the problem. The cottage did not get warm till the next day. We think this should have been checked beforehand. Afterwards we found the tabRead morele lamp didn't work. The other major problem was that you couldn't get digital stations on the Smart TV. Apart from that we enjoyed our time there. Hide
