With an enviable beachfront setting, this homely seaside cottage is perfectly located for spending your days sailing, swimming, or simply relaxing. Toast marshmallows around the fire pit as you watch the sunset or enjoy a spot of stargazing, all from the natural beach garden. Families will also enjoy the property’s proximity to many of Sussex’s best attractions, including popular Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea.

After climbing the steps, kick off your sandy shoes and head into the light and airy living space, which boasts incredible panoramic sea views that you will struggle to tear your eyes from. With large windows and French doors that open straight out to the beach garden, you can enjoy the seaside even on cold winter evenings as you curl up in the comfortable lounge area or enjoy a family dinner. For those evenings that you just want to breathe in the fresh sea air though, you will find a BBQ outside, with a table and chairs ready for a delicious al fresco dinner in the moonlight. From the garden, step directly onto Pevensey Bay’s quiet shingle beach.

Enjoy a morning walk along the beach and blow away the cobwebs, perhaps venturing as far as Eastbourne (5.5 miles) for a hearty breakfast at one of the town’s many popular eateries. Here you will also find Sovereign Harbour, a great spot to enjoy a coffee as you watch the world (and the boats) float by, as well as the famous pier with its amusements. Back in Pevensey village (1.5 miles), explore the towering castle which is now an English Heritage site.

A lovely base to have to explore the area with everything you could need provided. Limited places to walk a dog other than the beach with is pebbles except at low tide which was our only disappointment.

We had a fantastic stay with fantastic weather. We love the view and the beach walks with our dog were a highlight.
