Active family or friends, with the dog in tow too, will fit right in with this perfect blend of contemporary and historical. This lovely cottage spreads over three floors, inviting you to socialise and dine in an open-plan living space, and retire upstairs in comfort.  Enjoy either village life, with its historic pub and independent shops, or the vibrant town centre and beach, just a mile away. Step out of the front door and decide each day whether it’s the beach, some retail therapy or an invigorating walk.

The clever design of the cottage brings you together to enjoy anecdotes and memories, and to plan each day - yet you can easily relax in your own space. From the large kitchen table, choose to step up to comfy sofas or step out on to the patio area for a morning coffee or evening drink. Plenty of light floods through the windows to accentuate the light tones and wood flooring which harmonise with the exposed cobbled wall, wooden beams and wood burner - retaining the character and charm of this delightful flint cottage. Please note that both rooms on the top floor, reached via a cottage-style staircase, have sloping ceilings and reduced head-height.

Set in the oldest village of Eastbourne, you choose the pace of each fun day. Stay local to explore Motcombe park and lake, visit Manor Gardens, and refuel at the 12th-century pub or one of the independent cafes. Eastbourne town centre offers a vibrant shopping experience, theatre and Towner Art Gallery, and down on the 3-mile wide shingle beach you can explore the Lifeboat Museum and historic Wish Tower. It also has a charming Victorian pier. And when you need to clear the mind and be at one with nature, scenic Birling Gap is a joyful 2-mile walk.

Lovely cottage, well equipped and nice and clean. In a good location for the pub, shops and parks. BUT it suffers from very noisy and inconsiderate neighbours who play loud and bassy music until very late into the evening. On 4 of the 7 nights we were there the noise went on until after midnight. On the first night it was 2am before it stopped as tRead morehey had a party. Unfortunately because of this, the next time we are visiting Eastbourne we will not be booking this cottage. Hide

The cottage was really nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Sofas were comfy. We didn't sleep very well on the double bed. More because we're use to a king-size with a really thick/soft mattress. So We moved to the next room with 2 single beds and slept much better. There was less noise from outside too, our dog also preferred the quieter room. SoRead more we moved his bed there too. The cottage was in a great location with the pub waitrose pizza place and the park on our doorstep. We walked into town and along the front. Took us around 20mins to get to town. One day we walked to the station and caught a train to Brighton. That's was a great day. We also drove to Beachy Head and walked along the cliff. Was a lovely walk but a very misty day so we didnt see much. I think the cottage is a perfect getaway and would stay here again. Hide

Lovely cottage, perfect for dogs. Not necessarily suitable for people over 6 foot unless you don't mind ducking!! Lovely pub on the corner with good food.

A lovely cottage in a fab location. Facilities in the cottage are excellent and the little courtyard is charming. Comfortable beds! A small welcome pack would have been appreciated after a long journey and could be a little cleaner. Sheer curtains in twin bedroom - may be an issue if parents don't want children waking too early in the m morning Read moreand for them to be aware of neighbours' noise beforehand (we weren't bothered, but again, may be an issue for children late at night)

Many thanks for your feedback, there is a blackout roller blind in the twin bedroom

Le mnage n'tait pas trs bien fait, les matelas et les oreillers trs inconfortables mais la maison est charmante, nous avons pu faire un early check in et un late check out. A lovely cottage in the old town in Eastbourne. It does not have any off road parking but there was always space to park outside and in the nearest street close by as the road itself is a very narrow cul-de-sac. The open plan living and dining area is charming. The small garden area is lovely and just big enough to play ball with a dog. The stairs Read morein such an old cottage are quite steep and the bathroom is on the third floor, but there is a downstairs toilet. It was clean and comfortable Hide

The cottage was in a central location, easy parking on the road and looked stunning to the eye, unfortunately when looking deeper it was very dirty in places and overpriced.

Excellent location especially with a dog as the park is so close. Waitrose very handy as is the pub, also dog friendly. Cottage is well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
