Wander 0.5 miles down to the beach at Holywell: this traditional East Sussex beach is awash with shingle and is a more peaceful alternative to the busy beach at Eastbourne. However, 1.5 miles along the coast from Holywell is Eastbourne Pier where you can treat yourself to some traditional fish and chips. The property is also less than a mile from the edge of the South Downs National Park, home to the iconic Beachy Head beauty spot (2 miles).
