We had a great stay at Admiral Cottage for 5 days in August, it was really lovely accommodation in a great location, we wished we had booked for the week. The cottage was very clean and tidy and resembled the photos perfectly. The Kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was amazing with the free standing bath and double shower cubicle. Good sizeRead more bedrooms, perfect for a family of four. We will definitely will book this cottage again as it was a perfect family holiday. Hide

Holiday from the first to last minute: We had a wonderful two weeks-stay at Admiral Cottage ... just from the moment of our arrival. The Cottage is very cosy and clean. the location is superb, the kitchen very well equipped and we like the maritime style. We surely will stay in Meads again next year.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
