A very comfortable, clean and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful area of the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage was located in the grounds of the owners' home, set in the heart of a tiny village which was very secluded, quiet and peaceful and surrounded by unspoilt countryside, yet within a few miles of a town offering good shopping facilities. A lovely cottage in a quiet village close to many good walks and interesting areas. Dovedale and Tissington particularly recommended. The only downside was no garden or private outside space, just a seat in the parking area.

A lovely spacious cottage with a well appointed kitchen area and comfy bed. The location is superb set in the heart of a beautiful part of the white peaks area. A great position to tackle cycle and walking trails. Friendly owners and a lovely pad. Ashbourne nearby is a lovely place which would bear further investigation. Particularly recommend the bread shop which does REAL French baguettes and the Deli which does great coffee and REAL croissants! A very comfortable, clean barn. Just right for feeling safe in these COVID restricted times. We were able to have a quiet walk in the countryside. Very little traffic on the roads nearby. Will certainly book it again in the near future.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
