Further along the coast, are the towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea. The Towner in Eastbourne is now a stylish contemporary art gallery and not to be missed. For animal lovers, Drusilla’s Park at Alfriston offers a great family day out with Lemurs, penguins and a family splash park.

Outside the balcony can be accessed from either the lounge or the king-size bedroom and is the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee at the small table and chairs. There is garage parking for two small cars and ample additional visitor parking spaces available within the secure gated development.

A lovely apartment with excellent location and great views. Very well equipped and very comfortably furnished. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. We had a great holiday.

This is a lovely 4th floor apartment with wonderful sea views. Nicely furnished and equipped with all that we required. The beds were extremely comfortable. Located in a residential area that was very quiet in December.

Great views across the bay - the flat is on the 4th floor but there is a lift. Despite being on residential estate it is quite peaceful and you soon forget when you see the views. Beds are comfy with warm duvets, free wifi provided and basic kitchen equipment. This was our second visit, and sure we'll be back again.

Beautiful location over looking beach. Plenty of shops and eateries in Sovereign harbour complex. Five mins drive to free car park or walk along beach front just under a mile. Ideal for touring south coast with great walks over south downs .

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
