Located on the edge of the seaside village of Seaford and the South Downs National Park, this wonderful holiday cottage is within walking distance to the beach, making it a fantastic seaside getaway for couples and small families.

In a location overlooking the South Downs National Park and within walking distance to the quaint village of Bishopstone with its historic medieval church and pleasant walks. The famous Seven Sisters Country Park and Birling Gap is also within easy reach. Keen walkers and cyclists can explore the many trails of the South Downs. Eastbourne, a short drive away has a wide range of restaurants, shops and leisure facilities, whilst the City of Brighton is a shopper’s paradise offering boutique shopping and fantastic places to eat and drink. Children will love nearby Drusillas Park or why not enjoy a stroll around the pretty village of Alfriston, home to Alfriston Clergy House, owned by the National Trust.

Head up the front steps to the property and through the front door into the welcoming hallway where there is space for dropping off coats and shoes. Step into the light and bright lounge with stunning rural views and relax after a busy day, on the sofa and enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the TV with Netflix via the Blu-ray player. Head into the kitchen/diner which is equipped with everything you need for whipping up a delicious family meal, including an electric oven and hob and fridge and freezer, and enjoy dining together at the dining table with seating for all. After dark relax in one of the two bedrooms, a pretty double at the front of the property with stunning views over the South Downs and a little sunroom attached with two armchairs, ideal for a morning coffee or enjoying a good book. The other bedroom is a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a 2ft 6' twin on request) at the rear of the property. The property is completed with a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside, there is a fully enclosed terraced garden with patio table and chairs, and a charcoal BBQ. There is private parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A well looked after property, friendly owner , loved the views especially from the sun room .Seaford Nature Reserve is well worth a visit, beautiful views and plenty of rabbits.Pretty garden ,this time of year great to see the cyclamen from the kitchen window .

We had a good week here despite the petrol shortage! Used the bus service every day to get about including a visit to Brighton. The incline of the drive was a bit of a surprise but coming from Suffolk we are used to everywhere being flat! Otherwise the property was comfortable, spacious and had a lovely garden and it was so nice to meet Jess when wRead moree arrived. Hide

Jess, the owner, welcomed us on our arrival. We enjoyed two weeks in this immaculately clean and cosy holiday home. The garden is beautiful with various seating areas, which we used, without fear of being overlooked. We had a marvellous stay at the bungalow, it was peaceful and very picturesque with views from the front-facing conservatory across fields and to the sea. It was well equipped, comfortable and clean. We know the area well but still found new places to visit. Seaford was really nice and quiet, we had fabulous walks along the seafront, up the hill frRead moreom Splash Point and also to Tide Mills. We had a wonderful stay at Beekeepers Rest. The location is excellent; beautiful views, short walk to the beach, very quiet and close to countryside walks. The cottage is well equipped and maintained with a lovely garden. We would love to return soon.

A very comfortable property that was clean and well equipped with a lovely garden. Great location for the South Downs and seaside towns. Easy walk to the seafront at Seaford and the train station to Brighton or Eastbourne.

Location was 2nd to none. The facilities were clean and the welcome warm. We had the best week. We enjoyed the use of the BBQ and garden seating area. The views from the conservatory were stunning. The bus routes were fabulous and within a minute or two by foot meaning that driving wasn't a necessity. Lovely comfy beds. Nice outlook, peaceful and the garden was secluded and beautiful. Spotlessly clean. So many walks from the bungalow we were spoilt for choice before we even got as far as Seaford, let alone the 7 sisters! Didnt cook much but everything seemed to be provided. There are steps front and back as the bungalow is on a slope, and there Read moreis some road noise from the main through road through Seaford. But a lovely location and a walkers paradise. Hide

Beautiful property, the best garden of any property I have ever stayed in. Views from the living room and bedroom are gorgeous. The local area is stunning with loads of great walks. Property was very clean and the hosts were very kind and accomidating. I would love to stay again.

We had a fantastic time staying at Beekeepers Rest. Jess and Andrew were very welcoming when we arrived to collect the keys. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was a lovely surprise to find a pint of milk, tea, coffee and delicious biscuits for us plus some doggie biscuits for Henri the spaniel! Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
