We have stayed in a wide range of holiday cottages and this cabin was one of the best. It is well equipped with plenty of thought and attention to detail. We stayed in winter and it was warm and cosy even without using the wood burner. The track behind the cottage goes to Beaulieu in one direction and Buckler's Hard in the other, and was perfect foRead morer morning dog walks. Being in the treetops was great and gave privacy from the other cabins nearby. Highly recommended. Hide

The cabin was fantastic, the kitchen extremely well stocked with utencils pots and pans, meticulously clean with cleaning products provided. The bed I could take home as the comfort was amazing. The cabin was set around several others although lots of privacy from the trees. Perfect place to relax, and very comfortable accommodation. Only downside was that we had to drive for a decent forest walk as there is fencing along river front and woodland near property so habitat could recover. Understandable but we wouldn't have stayed here if we had known we had to keep to gravel path.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
