Call this humble abode home and enjoy adventurous days, time on the water and romantic date nights before returning home to get cosy.

With so many things to do and places to see, plan your time wisely when holidaying in Keswick. The lakeside market town is known as the Adventure Capital of England and you can try your hand at ghyll scrambling, canoeing or paragliding before rewarding your efforts with a tasty meal. If you fancy letting someone else do the hard work, book on a cruise and hop on and off at the villages which surround Derwentwater. If the rain interrupts your plans, enjoy a day at the movies or spend your evening at the Theatre by the Lake (1 mile). The heart of the picturesque Borrowdale Valley is 7 miles away and is a great starting point for some fantastic walks and hikes.

Make your way inside this first-floor apartment to settle in and unpack via the shared entrance. The open-plan living space welcomes you inside with open arms and has all you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. Sink into the sofa and get snug beneath exposed beams whilst you watch your favourite TV programme or mull over the day’s events. When it’s time for a feast, prepare ingredients and cook up a storm in the spacious kitchen area with fan oven/microwave, induction hob, fridge with ice box, and dishwasher before serving up at the table with its characterful shabby-chic chairs and stools. After long days and delicious dinners, head to bed in the inviting king-size bedroom with a four-poster bed and stylish decor. Rise and shine and freshen up in the contemporary shower room where there’s a large, luxurious, walk-in shower for a refreshing rinse, and a WC.

A parking permit is provided in the church car park opposite which is a real find in Keswick and makes it easy for you to head out and explore.

Lovely apartment in the heart of Keswick, free parking is a bonus, also had excellent service from holiday cottages when we couldnt get the heating to work, it was only a battery issue but someone was with us really quickly, on a Sunday too

Fantastic location, spotlessly clean apartment that is well equipped and very peaceful. Added bonus was a parking permit. Will definitely book next time we visit the Lake District.

The apartment is in a quiet spot but also very convenient for Keswick town centre and shops with great views of the fells. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the parking permit was particularly useful. We really enjoyed our stay and there are so many walks and things to do without moving the car if you choose.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
