Attractively styled cottage located one mile to the east of Eastbourne town centre, and just one hundred yards from the seafront and expansive beach.

Enjoy a delightful family escape to the seaside at this bright and homely cottage, which is perfectly located for enjoying the best of Sussex’s picturesque coastline. Spend your days exploring the area or trying your hand at one of the many water sports on Eastbourne’s waterfront, before retiring to your holiday home to stargaze in the pretty courtyard garden.

 

The cottage is light and bright throughout, with a large bay window letting natural light flood into the vast lounge. Split into two, the generous room is a fantastic spot for a family film night, while a smaller cosy area to the side is the ideal spot for curling up with your favourite book. Each room has been thoughtfully decorated with a unique, nautical-inspired style that is impossible not to love, with excellent attention to detail. Unwind with a glass of wine or a delicious al fresco dinner in the patio garden to the rear of the property, where you’ll find a comfortable decked seating area.

 

Eastbourne’s wide shingle beach is within walking distance, with the soft sands appearing at low tide. At the end of the beach, visit the fantastic water sports centre, where thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies can enjoy powerboating, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and even raft building. For those that prefer to stay on dry land, head 1 mile to the town centre and visit the eclectic range of shops as well as the restored Victorian pier. On sunny afternoons, why not pack a picnic and head to nearby Princes Park (0.5 miles) where you’ll find a boating lake, formal gardens, play areas, and tennis courts.

Fishermans Cottage is a lovely comfortable three bedroom terraced house about a ten minute walk from the Pier on the east side of the town centre and the beach is at the end of the road about 200 yards away.

We enjoyed our stay in Fishermans Cottage. The house was very comfortable and within reach of lots of tourist attractions by car.

Fabulous cottage. 2 mins walk to the seafront and park for walking the dog. Enclosed courtyard so I could let the dog out first thing in the morning in the safe knowledge he couldn't escape whilst I prepared my breakfast to eat outside. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Everything was perfect.

This mid-terrace cottage was well located for the beach, park and local shops; including a big supermarket. We had two small children in our party and it was ideal for the family. The walk to the pier is about 20 minutes with little legs following but still pleasant along the beach. There wasn't any problem with parking the car outside. I moved my Read morecar up a couple of times in consideration of the neighbours. It's near to the A22 so well-located for other parts of East Sussex too. Hide

We had a super 3 night stay and wished it could have been longer. The location was fantastic, beach at end of road and Eastbourne an easy walk along the front. Having park nearby is great too. The house is v clean and very nicely decorated. We would certain stay again.

This is a lovely holiday cottage. Clean, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There were even flowers and some little cakes to welcome us. Highly recommended.

Cottage really comfortable and would be even better with tweaks mentioned above. Eastbourne really lovely, as are it's people. Rye is also a lovely day out. Eating out was also a success, food was lovely (Crown and Anchor and it's staff top notch).

Good location for children - very close to a great park and all the fun play areas on the seafront. Thought it a bit pricey for June. Also coukdnt find parking in the road a lot of the time

This is a beautiful cottage . In a good location if you love to walk . Rooms are all beautifully decorated and clean . Perfect for a short or longer stay . Would recommend to anyone.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
