Then move into the spacious kitchen/diner with everything you need to cook up a storm, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with icebox, dishwasher and washing machine. Then back to the hall and into the lounge which has two sets of French doors: one opening into the yard and the others into an enclosed garden with beautiful far-reaching countryside views. Sit back and relax next to the inglenook fireplace with wood burner and watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. There is also a bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. Heading upstairs, you will find the super-king-size bedroom with apex ceiling, exposed beams and Smart TV, and there is also an en-suite WC.

Head outside into the enclosed garden which has a patio and seating for you to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or summertime sunbathing. There is also storage for bikes, dog washing facilities and ample off-road parking.

A delightful cottage, beautifully appointed and well equipped. Kind and friendly owners. A good location for daytrips to places like Stourhead, Wincanton, Glastonbury and Wells; and to enjoy the peace and tranquility in the garden or in the surrounding fields. Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
