  • The perfect space for romantic retreats or families with small children
  • Set in two acres of fenced paddock with panoramic views across The Haterall Ridge and Offa’s Dyke
  • A spacious and homely dormer bungalow with walks from the door
Property code: BN186

Escape to this dwelling and leave the hustle and bustle behind. Enjoy the acres of green space and the rural setting as you embark on adventures before snuggling down each evening.

A foodie’s and hiker’s delight, step out of the door and make your way to Offa’s Dyke for a stomp or jump on your mountain bike six miles away at Abergavenny and cycle Route 42 of the National Cycle Network. Drag yourself away from the home comforts at this bolthole and try your hand at clay pigeon shooting less than 7 miles away. Return home and enjoy the welcome hamper and putting your feet up to relax.

The spacious lounge/diner is a brilliantly light space with plenty of room for couples to put their feet up or little ones to run around whilst the TV flickers in the background. Throw the patio doors open and let the outside in on warm summer days or cosy up and pull the curtains closed to keep the chill at bay. Head into the kitchen where there are sleek workspaces and everything you need in your home away from home, including an electric hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, under the counter fridge and freezer. The ground floor shower room has a contemporary feel and the large shower welcomes you to freshen up and feel revived. Climb to the first floor to the eaves of the house, where you'll find the bedroom, plus there is a folding bed suitable for children if you are escaping on a family holiday with younger guests.

Step outside into the garden and enjoy the space offered by the delightful paddocks while taking in the wide spanning views.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural setting. A storm at the start of our stay meant we had to stay inside for the first couple of days but we were really cosy and comfortable, and enjoyed the views through the windows. We liked that the cottage is very private and was very clean on arrival. Excellent recycling facilities. Really enjoyed our visit tRead moreo Skirrid Inn pub. Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful setting! Made very welcome with a pint of milk and a cake on arrival along with tea & coffee sachets. Easy access to local attractions and walking routes. We had a lovely week exploring the area - a great many castles to visit, the Brecon Beacons are amazing and friendly people in lovely flower filled towns.

The cottage is in a beautiful and tranquil setting. It was perfect for us, a family with a toddler, free to roam around the massive garden. The cottage is close to great hiking spots and to the town of Abergavenny where you can go for shopping/eating. Also the cottage is well equipped, and our stay was just fabulous, we will surely be back!

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
