Attractive three-storey townhouse situated in the Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne, an vibrant and quirky area known for its independent shops, restaurants and bars, and walking distance to the seafront and beach.

This three-storey family home has a delightfully contemporary interior. The use of space has been thoughtfully designed with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area that keeps the holiday mood social. It is located in the Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne, half a mile from the town centre, which has won acclaim for its artisan range of restaurants and bars. The South Downs National Park is just to the west of town with a 2-mile cliff-top path to reach Beachy Head’s fabulous views – a great reward for your efforts. Of course, you may choose to relax on the wide shingle beach, try some people watching from a cafe on the Sovereign Harbour.  There is plenty to entertain the family at Sovereign Leisure Centre and Fort Fun for the little ones.

 

Every room in this delightful cottage has a nautical feel, and with an open-plan living area, you can keep a social holiday theme going whether cooking, dining or relaxing on the sumptuous sofas. Upstairs, you will three bedrooms (the master bedroom, and further upstairs a double and twin),  two of which have en-suite shower rooms. Outside, you will find an enclosed courtyard garden for al fresco dining and after-dinner drinks and conversation.

 

Pevensey Castle is a fabulous day out for everyone with English history just oozing from the ancient walls; dungeons to explore, ghosts to catch a glimpse of and beautiful grounds to walk and have fun and games in. There is a cafe and restaurant for well-deserved breaks and even the occasional medieval joust; at a little less than 6 milesaway, it can be walked to if you want a big adventure. Further afield, Hastings (14 miles) continues the historical theme with boutique shops and cafes to add to your day.

Fabulous location, good restaurants and Pubs close by, would definitely recommend the Dew Drop Inn for its quirkiness and burgers. We did have some issues with general cleanliness on arrival but on contacting the maintainace company these were mainly rectified promptly. Overall the property is a good base for exploring the area and was adequately eRead morequipped but we felt it was just lacking personally. Great location for eating, shops, beach and well equipped kitchen for those who don't want to eat out too frequently.Also well positioned to jump on the train to Brighton, Bexhill and the like. Parking easy with permit arrangements. Living area is a little cramped for 6.

We stayed here for a week over Christmas and found the house to suit our needs perfectly. Its in a very good location, local shops with plenty of places to eat a few minutes walk away, and the town and seafront both easy walks. I would agree with other comments that the two staircases are steep, not a problem for fit adults but would not be suitablRead moree for those less mobile. The cottage is lovely and very easy to find, parking is not the best unfortunately, I know you get parking permits but you sometimes have to park a long way away which is not easy when you have disabled. Its lovely that the town is so close with lots of shops, restaurants etc Excellent location for days out in the car and walks in the parks with thRead moree dog. Great location - lots of pubs and eating places locally . Everything in walking distance - lovely house and accommodates 6 people, a baby and a dog easily. Locals very friendly - Definitely go back.

Lovely house and great location. No problems with parking. Outside area could do with a spruce up. Eastbourne not too busy even in mid August. Lots of great restaurants within a few minutes walk.

A nicely decorated town house, situated 15 minute walk to the beach, a good base for your holiday, outside space is very limited though secured with a gate, we managed to find a parking space each day. Cleaning standards could be higher.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
