Next to the owners charming, traditional Devonshire thatched cottage which dates back to the 1600’s is this comfortable, romantic holiday retreat, which is perfectly located for exploring this picturesque and historic part of the world. Ottery St Mary is steeped in history , made famous by its links to Cromwell and the English poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It hosts several annual events, including Pixie Day, carnival processions, and most famously, the flaming tar barrels in November. The seaside resorts of Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis are within easy reach and the regency seaside town of Sidmouth is a mere 6 miles away. It offers a beach with dog friendly sections, access to the World Heritage, South West Coastal Path, esplanade, water sports and Connaught Gardens. It also hosts the popular Sidmouth Folk Festival in August. The Cathedral City of Exeter is approximately 20mins away by car where you can explore the stunning cathedral, enjoy some retail therapy, a meal out or spend a couple of hours relaxing at the Quayside with its host of restaurants, curiosity shops and pedalos.p>

Absolutely perfect location for Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, lovely local walks, well equipped cottage for home cooking,or nice food at the local pubs, and very dog friendly

We loved our quirky piggery conversion accommodation. It was lovely. Everything was nice and tidy and everything lovely and clean. A little bonus in the fridge was very much appreciated too. I did worry I was going to be cold but the wall heaters were very effective. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this accommodation. The ownRead moreers were on hand if you needed them however they didnt impose on us. We had a fabulous week celebrating my husbands 60th. Lots of lovely places. Hide

Little Beau is the perfect size, open plan sitting room and kitchen with extra tables and chairs hidden cleverly out of the way, but, available if you need them. Well equipped kitchen, easy to use oven, microwave, good cupboard space in bedroom, delightful bathroom, TV in sitting room and bedroom, warms up quickly with efficient heating, plenty of Read morehot running water. Esther and Steve gave us a warm welcome, they kindly left a bottle of fizz in the fridge for us The cottage is stylish, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and the weather was beautiful too. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cosy little cottage in a lovely quiet area but only 15 minutes from the coast and many other areas. The owners are lovely and made me feel very welcome. Hope to go back there again when possible.

A lovely cottage presented as a home from home lots of tiny detail considerd . Location just a few minutes from the A30 and twenty minutes from the coast what's not to like ideal for two plus dog . Lovely hosts not at all intrusive but just to hand if required.

Lovely welcome with bottle of sparkling wine and nothing too much trouble. Welcome weekend quality paper and suggestions for places to visit. Great for local walks with our dog. Comfortable, peaceful and spotlessly clean.

Beautifully decorated and well equipped holiday let with great access to numerous coastal villages. We had a great break and would highly recommend it to anyone especially those with dogs. Hosts very friendly and helpful without being invasive.

Lovely little cottage. Just right for 2 people and 2 dogs. We loved having a DVD library to watch a different film every night. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Good base to explore the wonderful coast line and moors.

The cottage is quiet and well appointed. Parking needs a bit of care as vehicles often parked in road outside. There is plenty of space for one car.

We had a wonderful week. It was peaceful and we loved walking nearby footpaths with our dogs. The beaches are diverse and beautiful. We were met with smiles everywhere. Our hosts were helpful and the peace of our surroundings was a delight.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
