This apartment, in its very central location, offers everything one might need for a break. It also has the benefit of outdoor space. For me, this was a trip down memory lane as my grandparents used to live just close to Meads. It was wonderful to go back to the village and also to see that it is still possible to buy fresh fish on the beach. Great location for all Eastbourne has to offer. Very comfortable lounge area with Netflix and free view if you want a night in after the excesses on the beach. Our stay in Little Chelsea was - as ever - great. We were here for the third time and we loved to leave our car standing. You can spend a week or more there and do everything on foot or use public transport. Trains and buses are within walking distance, as are the seafront, the city centre and all the interesting shops and cafs in Little Chelsea.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
