Leave stresses far behind in this stylish apartment, set just 650 metres from Eastbourne’s vibrant seafront and beach. Couples, friends and small families will love exploring quirky Little Chelsea and this quintessential East Sussex resort, with its two theatres, artist-run galleries, independent shops, pubs and restaurants, museums, parks and four beaches. Inside the bright split-level first-floor apartment, you’ll find a fabulous blend of seaside chic and funky mid-century modern. Renovated in December 2018, it’s the loving touches and attention to detail that bring the spaces to life, like the retro sofas, quirky art and cosy contrasting fabrics. Conjure feasts of fresh local seafood in the streamlined galley-style kitchen, before a soak in the tranquil bathroom, and wine, music and glowing lamplight in the gorgeous open-plan lounge/diner. Drift off to blissful dreams in the calm and cosy king-size master and sweet single bedrooms; the latter is accessed down four steps.

Harry Potter and Robin Hood filmed scenes at exposed Normans Bay (7 miles). Find fossils at secluded Seaford Head (9.5 miles) and rare species at its nature reserve. This is an ideal apartment, very comfortable and well equipped, and the parking at the back was a bonus. Location is great, a 10 minute stroll to beach and short walk to shops. Lovely property, beautifully presented and scrupulously clean with everything you could need. Great location in the cosmopolitan part of town within a stones throw of cafes, shops, bars and just 10 minutes walk to the beach. Couldnt fault it. Tip - unload at the front before moving car to the parking space at rear.

Comfortable warm flat. Try and park outside house to unload before parking up behind the house as its quite a drag bringing the luggage round from car. This is a great flat in an excellent position for the beach, town centre and park. The parking space is small, but a real asset as parking in Eastbourne can be difficult. Great for the dog too. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
