This charming cottage is located in the heart of the Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne and is ideally suited for couples and families looking for a seaside break. Located on a quiet street which is within 1 mile of the railway station and town centre, with its wide array of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Keen walkers can enjoy local walks across the surrounding area which has some of the country’s most iconic scenery, including Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park. The local beach (500 metres) offers a gentle shelving shingle beach which is perfect for keen swimmers and water sports enthusiasts, as well as attractions including the interesting Lifeboat Museum, the town’s bandstand which offers a busy programme of concerts, and the newly restored Victorian pier offering a range of venues including a tearoom, and fish and chip restaurant.

Enter the property into a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is a sociable space to gather the family together. Relax on one of the two comfy sofas and enjoy watching the Smart TV or enjoy listening to music on the Alexa. The central island unit offers the perfect place to dine with four bar stools or just to enjoy chatting whilst you prepare a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen offers an electric combination oven with warming drawers, an induction hob, microwave, Bosch coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a hot water boiling tap. Heading up the steep stairs to the first floor you will find two comfortable bedrooms: a double and a twin, and the property is completed with a shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, the property enjoys a courtyard patio area with garden seating which makes a delightful location for al fresco meals and drinks (please note that the neighbour has to access their property via the garden). Guests may unload their car outside of the property and 250 metres away there is unrestricted roadside parking (subject to availability).

Challenges parking, steep stairs and no washing machine. Otherwise a lovely place to stay. Convenient location 5 mins to seafront. Plenty local shops and lovely restaurants. Hosts very pleasant. Enjoyed our stay, and dog friendly a bonus. Would recommend for a short visit.

This Cottage is really everything it says and shows through photo's AND MORE. Our reviews are always based on how well we cope with our giant Newfoundland Dog (71kg). We always take stair gates, rubber backed mats, a ton of drying equipment etc. With that said, Monika (owner) was totally unphased by us bringing our beast, despite the home being reaRead morelly beautifully decorated. This property is wonderfully located in the town centre, and in a peaceful and quiet spot. It's a great choice for exploring Eastbourne and vicinity. The owners are very friendly & helpful too, we really enjoyed our stay here and hope to stay again in future.

The landlod are an amazing couple who made us welcome and looked after us during our stay. This touch added the extra special factor that you don't often get. Will strongly recommend this beautiful cute cottage at 12 York Road. Eastbourne will be back again!

A perfect location for a holiday, super clean and well equipped. Near to the shops for food or whatever and close to the seafront too. Monika is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and makes sure that you have everything you need. The fruit and some milk for the amazing coffee maker was a great touch as was the availability of tea bags aRead morend sugar which is not always the case in self catering accommodation. We spent a lovely four day break at Little Chelsea cottage.Graham and Monika gave us a warm welcome, and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage is very comfortable and in a convenient location, close to a superb used bookshop (Camillas), a lovely cafe/restaurant (the Skylark), a cosy pub (the Dolphin), and a great fish and chip Read moreshop (Pedros). It is within easy walking distance of the excellent Towner gallery, and the seafront and pier. I highly recomment this cottage. Hide

Absolutely perfect stay, first class. Clean and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you could need. Situated just a minutes walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Meet and greet by the host which was lovely to show us around. Would definitely recommend.

Very well maintained very friendly host meets you on arrival to go through equipment which is very useful bedrooms very comfortable courtyard garden with seating comfortable cushions huge parasol lounge area has reclining sofas to relax large television with all the gadgets Netflix ect. This cottage was immaculately clean and recently updated. The friendly Owner greeted us on arrival explaining the coffee machine and showing cottage The small garden is a walk way for two neighbours but it didn't affect us at all. Very close to the shops and beach which was what we wanted. The stairs are quite steep, especially for those unused to Read morestairs (we live in a bungalow). Only downside could be the parking is resident parking. Daily permits are provided and we always found a space. Hide

Super cottage in great location. Beach, shopping and train station were all only a few minutes walk away. The cottage has been newly renovated, is well equipped with good quality appliances, and had everything we needed. The garden is a fabulous sun-trap and very relaxing. A lovely cottage, close to all amenities of transport, shops, eateries etc. The coffee machine saved us a lit of money with every king if coffee at the push of a button. The courtyard was particularly attractive.
