Lovely cottage in a secluded location down a narrow lane but that never caused a problem. Clean and spacious with everything you'd need, plus a surprise extra toilet next door to the bathroom. Low threshold access for wheelchairs with multiple access points and easy parking. Excellent WiFi

The long room is beautiful. It has pretty much everything you need. It benefits from extra wide doorways, a plus for wheelchair users. Although very open plan it has a really cosy feel. We would have loved lighting the log burner, but it was very warm without. Its in a very quiet tranquil setting, but well placed for exploring.

We much enjoyed staying at the Long Room. It suited our needs perfectly, being near family and yet having our independence. It is well located for walks (with or without dogs), the farm shop and visiting nearby villages and the Mendips. It had all the equipment we needed and we much appreciated the efficient log burner when it turned cooler.

We really enjoyed our time! The house was incredibly clean, with all the facilities you need. Its in a lovely location, not far from either Bristol or Bath and has a nice pub a short walk away. Due to its rural location, phone signal isnt great but thats not a big deal! We would definitely come back.

Perfect cottage for a couple: spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and excellently placed for exploring northern Somerset. Good, quiet, outdoor space for chilling. Though it is one of several farm buildings we didn't see another soul the whole week we were there. Good broadband, too!

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
