Attractive terraced cottage with a sunny patio garden, located one mile east of Eastbourne city centre, within a five-minute walk of the beach and a number of parks.

This property is ideally located for those who want to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, as it is situated just a five-minute walk from the seafront and Eastbourne’s wide, shingle beach. At low tide, areas of sand appear, making it ideal for playing games and paddling. Overlooking this area of the beach, at the eastern side of town, is the imposing Redoubt Fortress, which was built during the Napoleonic Wars. One mile west of the property, the town’s main beach is staffed by lifeguards during the high-season, and offers the opportunity to hire beach huts and parasols to make your day at the beach even more enjoyable. Of course, the iconic Victorian pier is not to be missed, whether you are popping in for fish and chips, enjoying afternoon tea, or having an evening out in the jazz club.

A short footpath leads from the pavement to the front door of this property, bringing guests to the cosy lounge with its bay window and feature fireplace. There are two sofas to relax on, and a TV/DVD, perfect for unwinding after a busy day at the beach. This room opens onto the dining area, where there is a dining table seating six and a pretty dresser. Moving through to the kitchen, guests will find a spacious, colourful room, equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. The cottage has three bedrooms, all on the first floor. The first of these is a restful king-size room, which has plenty of storage space, as well as a dressing table. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom which has been tastefully styled in a classic nautical theme, whilst the third bedroom is a single room. The shower room, also on this floor, offers a walk-in shower, and WC.

Outside, there is a brightly tiled patio garden to the rear of the property which is fully enclosed and offers a great place to enjoy al fresco drinks, or for children to play. There is unrestricted roadside parking to the front of the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Stayed here for a week. Location was very central to Eastbourne, the beach walking distance. The Cottage was nicely decorated in the nautical theme, Kitchen was a great size . lots of space, EHC were very helpful in sorting out any issues very efficiently and made our stay very pleasant. Thank you

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
