Contemporary third-floor apartment situated within Eastbourne’s prestigious marina complex, enjoying sea views from the property’s large wraparound balcony.

This property is located to the east of Eastbourne town centre, within the town’s Sovereign Harbour development. The seafront is just a few moments away, with the wide shingle beach which stretches all the way up to the town’s main beach, some two miles along the esplanade. Sovereign Harbour is a popular leisure complex offering a number of restaurants, bars, and a cinema, making it an excellent choice for those who like to eat out whilst on holiday. In the main town centre, visitors will find a large choice of shops, as well as the town’s Victorian harbour which was painstakingly restored after a fire in 2014. Other attractions nearby include the South Downs, Beachy Head, and a lifeboat museum.

A lift brings guests up to the front door of this third-floor apartment, where guests will find the comfortable lounge/diner: a delightfully light-filled space, thanks to the large windows and patio doors which lead out to the balcony. The spectacular views to the sea can be enjoyed from the sofa, armchairs, and pull-out dining table, as can the TV/DVD and CD player. The separate kitchen, though modest in size, is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. The property has two bedrooms, the first of which is a double room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with a separate shower cubicle and WC. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a pleasant twin room. The spacious main bathroom offers a bath, sink and WC.

Two sets of patio doors in the lounge open onto a spacious wraparound balcony, which offers garden furniture and offers unobstructed sea views. There is unrestricted roadside parking near the property, as well as some visitor spaces within the complex which are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin
  • Bathroom with bath and WC

The property is a comfortable base to enjoy visiting the nearby harbour, watching boats go in and out of the locks and taking walks onto Eastbourne seafront. Lots of interesting things to see and do around Eastbourne, or just sit on the balcony and sea watch!

Lovely apartment with sea view. Great for Sovereign Harbour but a little bit too far from Eastbourne to walk into the centre. There is some building work across the road, but the construction phase appeared to be complete and we weren't disturbed by any noise.

Unfortunate with building works adjacent to the property, equipment and noise totally defeating the purpose of a quite bank holiday weekend or reading and relaxation. Had booked for 4 nights and left after the first night. The apartment was not well laid out with a small, dark kitchen.

Kitchen very small, very dark, no windows. Difficult for two adults to be in at the same time. Table too small, if extendable we couldn't fathom how! Bed/pillows uncomfortable.

The apartment is lovely, well appointed and in a good position.

With changes being made to gaining access to the apartment, and some tlc in the en-suite, we would recommend this apartment. With this in mind, we cannot recommend to a friend as it stands. Access to parking was appreciated and the location answered our needs.

My husband and I have just returned from a short break in this property. It is a wonderful apartment with sea views and a balcony from which to enjoy them. It is a well equipped apartment at a very good price. The only drawback we found was that on the Sunday we kept loosing the television programme but during the week it was fine. I am sure we wilRead morel be returning in the future to discover more of the wonderful heritage in that area and its surroundings and would not hesitate to recommend it. Hide

We found this a very comfortable apartment in a good position overlooking the sea. It is well furnished. The only downside was the shower room which needed attention. We believe this is now in hand.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
