This barn conversion enjoys a tranquil rural location in a hillside location. The fishing village of Polperro is just a mile away and can be reached by a country walk over the owner’s land and down a lane. Here, visitors will find a tidal sea pool, quirky independent shops, a choice of eateries and a small beach. A bigger beach can be found in the nearby harbour town of Looe, a gently sloping stretch of sand with good bathing conditions. From Looe, visitors may like to take a boat out to the nearby Looe Island, a marine nature reserve with a resident seal colony.

This stylish accommodation makes a great place for a couple’s break, or perhaps for a small family using the available extra futon bed. The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is located on the first floor of the property and offers a light and airy space with exposed beams, TV, DVD, and wood burner, for which the logs are provided. The contemporary kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and microwave. Downstairs, the bedroom with king-size bed has its own TV and space for an additional futon bed, suitable for a child. The property’s bathroom has a roll-top bath, separate shower cubicle and WC and the washer/dryer is located under the stairs.

Outside, there is a shared lawn area with outdoor seating for alfresco dining and guests are welcome to explore the grounds where they will find a play area with swings and a seesaw, as well as a games area with nets for tennis, badminton and football. Guests are also free to enjoy the wildlife pond and meet the chickens, ducks and fish. There is ample off-road parking available.

Great location, very quiet and peaceful. 20 minute walk into Polperro itself. Steep hill coming back which some may find challenging on foot. Some fantastic scenery around property, and on the South West Coast Footpath which is easily accessible. Narrow lanes to drive in a car, but that's what you get for the isolated location! Attractive, comfortable, and well equipped cottage. Lovely views and dark nights with countless stars to view. Access lanes are very narrow single track with very few passing places. Access from Polperro is very steep and not for the nervous driver, or frail walkers. WiFi access is mainly nil. But a great week was enjoyed.

This property has very good bones, but needs a little refreshing in our view. For a couple, the space is well sized, the bedroom and bathroom are both particularly spacious. Some of the equipment could do with an update, particularly the bed and the Wi-Fi, the latter just didnt work at all. If this could be sorted then we would highly recommend thiRead mores property. Stayed here for a week in July. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Cottage was well furnished and comfortable. Great location - incredibly tranquil and relaxed. Polperro is an approx. 10 min walk away (albeit quite a steep walk - there is also a public car park available at the bottom of the hill at a cost, if you don't fancy the walk). Beautiful cottage with very friendly owners, location was perfect for what we wanted. Close to bustling Polperro and Looe whilst providing a lovely tranquil base to return to in the evenings. Walk to Polperro is steep but doable and extremely beautiful. Would happily stay again!

How this can be graded is 4 star is beyond me. It is poorly equipped, shabby and access is by a very narrow road from Polperro, we nearly had 2 accidents by idiots coming to fast the other way !.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
