Wow what a lovely place the Robin Barn Cottage was. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent amenities. Ideal location between Devon & Cornwall. A superb family run business with so many personal touches. When we stayed all cottages were occupied, however it was still so peaceful. Dog friendly barn cottages set in picturesque setting surrounded by sheep and a lake. Nicely furnished although bed mattress hard. Nowhere to run dogs off lead due to sheep always in owners fields. Beaches online say some beaches allow dogs but that means on lead only. Ideally situated to visit Bude, St Austell or The Eden Project etc.

Lovely accommodation, well presented with top quality furnishings. Lovely touch of scones, jam and cream on arrival, in the accommodation. Even the dogs got a welcome gift of doggy treats. Lots of places to drive to to go out for days. Or if you are in to walking, many walks available.

The owners were very accommodating and we were able to access the property early, they made sure there was a suitable size dog bed for us too. They were very quick to fix the shower which needed adjusting as it was not very powerful at first & also sorted the fridge out which was not switched on! The barn is larger than photos depict and sofa is veRead morery comfy. Dog walking field not secure enough by the main road for small dogs to be off lead at present in our view, opportunities for escape! Hide

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
