Perfect, Outside not ideal for small dogs as the pebbles are very sharp. I slashed my flip flop on it, had to buy new ones. Road extremely dangerous to cross. But we loved everything else.

The cottage was beautiful and comfortable but the garden was a bit disappointing and it was a long walk to the pub. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if it was a bit nearer we would definitely return.

Only drawback was parking. However, Washford Mill across road kindly let us use shop car park which was ideal. Another small point was the carpet had some slight stains and did give off a slight smell. However, as it is 'dog friendly' this was not unexpected and did not impact on our comfort in the cottage. All equipment was to a high standard and Read moreeasy to use. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage. Very well equipped, comfortable bed and excellent location within a 10/15 mins drive of dog friendly beaches and the seaside town of Minehead. Also very close to pubs and cafes with no shortage of choice. Appreciated that the owners had organised parking for us less than a minute walk away.

Rose Cottage is a lovely property, cosy, homely and with stunning decor, in particular the bathroom, which inspires bathroom envy. It is well-equipped and clean. Washing up liquid provided but not liquid soap for washing hands. Back courtyard has view of the river and catches the sun. There is plenty to see and do in the local area for example WhorRead moretleberry tea rooms in Porlock, Watchet, Tarr Steps, Ramscombe/Great Wood walk in the Quantocks and the cliff waterfall onto the beach at St Audrie's. Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
