Even on cold, wet days you can enjoy the striking seaside setting, with the dining table perfectly situated for you to look out over Eastbourne as you dig into a delicious homecooked meal. Eastbourne’s famous restored Victorian pier is just 1 mile from the apartment, where you will find cafes, entertainment, and even a nightclub. The town’s shingle beach is within walking distance, offering a fantastic place to relax, with an expanse of sand revealed at low tide (so remember to pack your bucket and spade!). Also within walking distance, is the South Downs National Park, which starts less than 1 mile away from the property - you won’t want to miss the breathtaking views from Beachy Head’s iconic vantage point across Eastbourne and the English Channel. From here, you can even venture further to Birling Gap (4.5 miles) and The Seven Sisters (6.5 miles).

Ideal location for exploring nearby Eastbourne.Well placed for local shops.Steep stone steps down to property could prove a problem for less able people.Nice and Quiet and private .

As long as you can manage the steep stairs, to the property, this is a lovely apartment. Everything was very clean and tidy. Only a short walk to the sea front.

A lovely aspect views over eastbourne. Very close to theatres (venue for conference I was attending) but far enough away to be ok for street parking and noise. It was blissfully quiet. 3 min walk to the beach (10 min back up the hill). Light and airy apartment both rooms ensuite.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
