This elegant cottage is an ideal escape for two in a location famous for its scenic walks, local delicacies, and towns steeped in history. Based on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales on a charming estate, you can enjoy an abundance of walks from your doorstep. Stroll to the nearby village for a hearty meal at one of the friendly pubs, or enjoy a leisurely browse in the deli and farm shop. The market town of Richmond is just 6 miles away, a haven for keen historians and foodies alike with a busy market square and Norman castle.

The cottage itself has retained its rustic charm whilst being completely unrecognisable from its former life as a storage space for farm produce and livestock. Featuring exposed stone walls, beams and authentic flooring, this open-plan property has been lovingly restored with a contemporary flair, maximising the use of space. Two arched doorways flood the single-level property with light by day, but by night they provide an irresistible opportunity for stargazing. To one end of the property is the quirky kitchen area, perfectly equipped for rustling up decadent meals for two, enjoyed by candlelight at the breakfast-bar-style table. There's also a cosy sofa ideal for curling up together in front of a good film with a glass of wine in hand. Discover the sumptuous bedroom at the opposite end of the property, a luxurious retreat complete with four-poster bed and glamorous furniture. The en-suite wet room is located adjacent to the bedroom, carefully screened for privacy.

Feel like a film star sinking into the soothingly warm hot tub, sipping a glass of fizz on a chilly winter night. Tucked in your own private garden at the back of the property, it's a delightful treat and wonderfully secluded. To the front of the property you'll find the large shared courtyard, a pleasant spot to bask in the sun with a pot of fresh coffee.

Great view from the cottage and the hot tub. Lovely shower inside. A bit small but cosy. Very nice and considerate staff who moved us to a cottage that was a bit more out of the way so we wouldn't be disturbed by the wedding that was going on.

A beautiful location, a lovely cottage equipped with all we could need. The hot tub is such a wonderful addition and allowed for some serious relaxation at the end of the day.

I booked this room as I thought the hot tub was more private and yes it is just ours during the stay but its quite open n ppl can walk past. Another thing is the wet room shower, if youre picking this room then definitely take two pair of sliders because if you shower, get dry n then need to use the toilet ,as the floor doesnt dry quickly, you haveRead more to pass the shower/wet room to use the loo and your feet are wet again. Lovely place and views. Would go again but Id pick a different room. Hide

We had a fabulous stay at The Mill Store. We were greeted upon arrival and shown to our accommodation with no delays. The rooms were immaculately decorated, clean, tidy and had everything needed for a weekend away. The venue is well situated and without too much travelling we visited Richmond Castle, Fountains Abby and Asgarth Waterfalls. The hot tRead moreub was a welcome advantage when we had been out walking through the day. We would highly recommend and would visit again. Hide

Beautiful, hot tub in the treehouse was amazing. Kitchenware was exceptionally clean and you literally have everything there. Location was great. WiFi was a little weak but that was great as I needed a break from my phone. I would recommend this for everyone and anyone

This is a lovely place in a beautiful setting. It's a small property but was ideal for just the two of us. The owner was very friendly and helpful. A short walk to the village gave easy access to good food outlets, and other places are short drives away. The hot tub was fab to relax in after a hard day's walking in Swaledale!

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
