The property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. The hosts were very friendly and there was plenty of local information provided. There is a long single track lane leading to the farm, with only a couple of passing places, although we never encountered any problems during our stay.

Lovely pretty cottage on the farm in a lovely area with beautiful scenery. Perfect for our little break away from it all. We had a couple of good walks from the cottage. There is a single lane track up to the farm for about a mile and a half from the main road. We enjoyed our stay and found plenty to do in the area but you need your car to get out Read moreand about. Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
