Stylish cottage sleeping four guests located on a private development in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, lying between the main centre and the South Downs National Park.

This property is located in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, a lovely area with a community feel and a good range of shops and eateries. The local beach is a laid-back shingle beach which is backed by the cliffs of the South Downs National Park. Keen walkers and those who enjoy dramatic scenery will not want to miss out on the breath-taking two-mile walk to Beachy Head, where walkers can relax in the cliff-top pub before making the return journey. 1.5 miles from the cottage, Eastbourne town centre offers a range of interesting attractions including the town’s main beach, a water sports centre, and the Victorian Pier which has been fantastically restored since the fire in 2014.

On arrival at this cottage, guests will find a charming lounge/diner: a relaxing space with a large corner-sofa and a dining table seating four. For entertainment purposes there is also a TV, DVD, iPod dock, and CD player in this room, so it is always easy to relax after a busy day. The separate kitchen is contemporarily styled and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a washing machine, whilst the tumble dryer can be found in the basement which also acts as a handy storage space. There is convenient cloakroom with WC on the ground floor. Taking the stairs to the first floor, guests will find the two bedrooms. The first of these is an attractive king-size room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is a restful twin room, whilst the main bathroom is also located on the first floor and offers a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, there is a modest seating area with patio furniture to the front of the property. There is dedicated off-road parking for one car.

We had a wonderful week in this very spacious, comfortable and quiet cottage. Handy for shopand very nice pub "Ship Inn" We used the bus a few time as the bus stop was opposite The Stables, nice to leave the car in it's parking space from time to time.

We had a lovely stay at the Stables. The Location is in a quiet area. Seafront and town Center in walking distance. some local Shops are right across the street, so there is everything you need. The appartment was spacoius, clean and tastefuly decorated. We love to come again.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
