The beach is an easy ten-minute walk away: a wide expanse of shingle which gives way to sand at low tide. Beach huts and parasols can be hired on a daily basis, perfect for those who want to sit back and enjoy the sun. For those hoping to be more active, there is a water sports centre situated next to Princes Park at the eastern end of Grand Parade, which offers the chance to try a range of sports including stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing, sailing, and raft building.

The main living space in this contemporary property is the light and bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes the perfect place to relax, have fun, and simply enjoy spending time together. The lounge area, which overlooks the pretty garden, has a both a sofa and an armchair from which guests can unwind in front of the TV/DVD after a busy day of sightseeing. The sofa can be pulled out to reveal a sofa bed, accommodating another two guests if required.  A breakfast bar seating four separates the lounge area from the kitchen, which is well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. The property offers one bedroom: a cosy double room, whilst two extra guests may be accommodated on the sofa-bed in the lounge area. There is also a shower room with shower and WC.

Folding doors in the lounge open out onto a pretty walled garden which is partially set to shingle and offers a table and garden seating for four guests, making it an ideal space to enjoy al fresco meals in the warmer months. A perfect holiday bungalow. Certainly for my wife and I, being in our mature years this accommodation was absolutely perfect. Everything is at hand, local shops, restaurants and a great promenade.

The only good thing about the studio is the position. Very unwelcoming, cold and absolutely nothing in the bare cupboards to start your holiday. The clip on reading lights in bedroom are ridiculous

We stayed here for the second year running. It is ideal for our needs - close to the bandstand, seafront, and town, and safe for our young children who are able to play outside in the patio area without escaping! Very well maintained and has everything we need. Only suggestion is that, as there is a sofa bed (which we used) in the open plan kitchenRead more/living room, it would be good to have black-out blinds on the skylights and maybe a way of making the room darker on the other windows, as a lot of light comes through. Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
