Ideally located within the village of Chittlehampton and sitting adjacent to the owners’ home (your privacy is assured), you will see many quaint thatched properties on your strolls and you will be just a short walk from the village square, where you can find the local pub and shop. Situated close to some of North Devon’s finest beaches including Saunton, Woolacombe and Croyde, which are popular with surfers and swimmers alike, you’ll not want for a superb day out. If walking and cycling is more your thing, you can enjoy the Tarka Trail cycle path or myriad ambles through the surrounding landscape. The towns of Barnstaple and South Molton are nearby with popular pannier markets, shops and tea rooms. Other attractions in the area include Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, National Trust properties and gardens, golf courses and attractive quiet villages with local pubs.

Stepping into the single-storey property you enter a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, well-furnished and equipped with a Smart TV, comfy seating and superb countryside views. French doors lead out to the rear enclosed garden. The kitchen area is well-equipped with everything you need including an electric oven and induction hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Superb base for a north Devon holiday. Spacious and very clean accommodation, with everything you need, in a quiet village. Small shop and very good pub just a few yards away. Main supermarkets are just a short drive away. Paul and Yvonne (owners of the property) are keen to ensure you have everything you need and that everything is ok. We had a lovely stay at Wincrofts and were made to feel very welcome by Yvonne and Paul. The property felt very spacious and was spotless. Our son particularly loved seeing the sheep every morning and night. Highly recommended.

The cottage was laid out perfectly including the outdoor space. The shower was wonderful. Plenty of room and storage. We had the perfect stay. The hosts were attentive, (we only bumped into them on our arrival) they were very nice and friendly

Beautiful holiday escape with stunning views and extremely kind and considerate hosts. We couldnt have asked for anything more! Wed highly recommend staying here if youre looking for somewhere away from the tourist traps but within easy reach of all the best bits of North Devon!

Lovely position overlooking farm fields, in a small quiet village with good pub and local shop with post office. Convenient for walking, beaches and shopping in Barnstaple or Biddeford Very helpful owners who respect your privacy but are there if needed

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
