This ground floor apartment with garden has access directly onto the beach at Pevensey Bay. Ideally located for those wishing to bring a four legged-friend. Great for walkers and cyclists alike.

Wake up to the sound of waves tugging gently on the pebbles of the beach at the end of the garden at this two-bedroom ground-floor apartment with an enclosed garden. Drop off coats and shoes in the entrance hall and make your way to the welcoming open-plan lounge/diner alongside a well-equipped kitchen. Have a meal around the table or pop down the road for some fish and chips and enjoy them on the dog-friendly beach at the end of the garden. The two bedrooms and shower room with WC are just off the lounge area, and there’s an enclosed lawn and a decked area with garden furniture for al fresco dining. Off-road parking is available for one vehicle.

The shops and pubs of Pevensey are just under half a mile from the property, and there are supermarkets, a cinema and restaurants at Sovereign Harbour 2.5 miles along the coastal road. There’s plenty of history here too: the impressive ruins of Pevensey Castle - located right where William the Conqueror’s army landed back in 1066 - are just 1 mile away, and the site of the Battle of Hastings is 10 miles away. Also within 10 miles are the elegant Victorian resort of Eastbourne, the Art-Deco resort of Bexhill-on-Sea, the striking castle of Herstmonceux, two English wine centres and a zoo.

Real home from home and perfect site as this stretch if beach had the best sandy beach when the tide was out. The little High St is in walking distance and has enough food shops (tiny supermarket, Chinese, Indian and a pub). A beautiful setting, straight onto a pebble, dog friendly beach. Sandy walks at low tide, with very few people around. The apartment was spotless, with a contemporary feel. A well-stocked kitchen meant we could easily self cater. The bed was comfortable, and the shower powerful. (These things matter!) Local pubs and restaurants, but we needed a carRead more for these. Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
