End-terrace, three-storey property sleeping six guests, situated less than a mile east of Eastbourne town centre and just a few minutes’ walk away from the town’s beach.

This property is situated just one road back from the seafront parade in the East Sussex town of Eastbourne. The town became a popular resort in Victorian times and there is plenty to remind visitors of the town’s past, including the impressive pier which has been painstakingly restored following a fire in 2014. Not only does the pier offer a unique perspective of the sea and the beach, but it is also home to a lovely tea room, a jazz lounge, and a nightclub. Asides from the beach, which is manned by lifeguards in high-season, there is plenty more to see and do in the area including Beachy Head, a miniature steam railway, a water sports centre, and an impressive seafront fortress.

The first room that guests come to on entering this charming property is the lounge, which, with its light and airy feel, gives guests a taste of just how much effort the owners have put into creating a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. This elegant room has a large bay window, two comfortable sofas, a flame-effect fire, a TV/DVD. Beyond the lounge, there is a separate dining room with space for six guests, which, with its iPod dock and well-stocked games cupboard, is also a great place to enjoy a fun family games night. The kitchen, meanwhile, offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, and has a door leading out to the patio garden. Two of the properties bedrooms are located on the first floor: a king-size room and a pleasant twin room with an attractive feature fireplace. The bathroom is also on this floor. On the second floor, affectionately known as the Top Deck, there is a stylish twin room which has been lovingly styled to create a bright space with a seaside feel. This room benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC.

A patio door leads from the kitchen out to an enclosed patio garden to the rear of the property. This south-facing space has a table and chairs, which makes a brilliant place for enjoying al fresco drinks and meals. There is unrestricted roadside parking just in front of the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

From the first moment we felt like at home. There was enough space vor 3 adults and 3 Kids (13 - 17years). Everything in the house was very clean and in well condition. We enjoyed the time and made long walks at the near seafront. Even the town-centre is in a distance of only 15 minutes. Had a fabulous summer holiday at this cottage. It is light, comfortable, well equipped and is in a great location for beach, town and pier. Lots to do for our boys including Treasure Island, Dotto train and beach. The Beach Deck restaurant is fab and so near. Really felt at home here and would love to come back. Can't fault anything.

Eastbourne is a bustling seaside resort on the south coast of England. It has been a popular British holiday destination since Victorian times. The town’s attractive pier and promenade is still a major draw for visitors in search of a traditional seaside experience – you can enjoy a long, level stroll along the sea front whilst enjoying an ice cream or some fish and chips. The pebble beach is a good place to park a deckchair and take in the sun, or paddle in the sea. Great for family breaks and as a romantic getaway, the town has much to offer all visitors. The South Downs Way starts in town and extends 100 miles eastwards to Winchester – one of the first stops on the National Trail are the imposing chalk cliffs of the iconic Beachy Head, a few miles to the east of town. Eastbourne is a big hit with train enthusiasts as it’s home to the Spa Valley Railway and the Miniature Steam Railway. Historians may like Redoubt Fort and The Observatory Science Museum (in nearby Herstmonceux). For all-weather attractions for children why not investigate Fort Fun or the indoor Motcombe Swimming Pool? Further afield, and within a one-hour drive to the west is Brighton, with its own pier, wonderful array of shops and eateries. To the west is Bexhill-on-Sea with its impressive art gallery, the De La Warr Pavillion, and long seafront. Just beyond is the old fishing town of Hastings with its new award-winning designer pier, ancient castle and fishing shanty town.
